I found a website calculator that claims to calculate the price one should pay for a stock based on the investors required return, the stocks growth rate and the current dividend per share http://www.free-online-calculator-use.com/stock-price-calculator.html">here . The site does give an explanation for the investors required return, but a novice investor would likely not be helped by this meager explanation.
It was fun to mess around with for a few minutes so I thought I would share it with the class.
